To backup data in a cloud is easier and more effective than to backup local storage on every computer in a company.
Automatic backups do not depend on the human factor (they run even while people sleep).
Security (encryption), the solution grows with the data, there is no need to care about the disk size in the PC, data can be backed up to geographically different places.
Data recovery is easier, the data is in one place, not on different computers.
Backups can run on the fly (while working).
Script
Common for all scenes: in the upper corner there is the guy’s face and his health status. With the bad solution it drops from 100 % to 0 %. When it reaches zero, the guy falls asleep and dreams about the right solution, with which the health status grows back to 100 %.
Manual backup / automated backup
a tired, sleepy guy backs up his local computer, drags icons to a backup folder, once he drags an icon to the trash by mistake (oops/d’oh) and dreams that…
the data in the cloud backs up itself (icons fly on their own)
Ineffective / effective storage
while dragging icons, the tired guy gets an Out of disk space message
the sleeping guy dreams of another disk, many disks, zoom out from the disks to a globe and backups to remote places
Difficult / easy to recover
icons from the backup are moved back on one computer, zoom out on the computer (progress bar), when it finishes, the camera moves to another PC and the same happens, zoom out on a field of computers being restored one by one (progress bars), the guy is more and more tired
the recovery runs only in the cloud (icons pour from the backup into the cloud)
Blocking backup / backup on the fly
the tired guy’s computer is being backed up, a progress bar with a spinning wheel (like a Windows update), the guy’s head falls on the desk
a happy guy works (types on the keyboard), data runs between his PC and the cloud and the backup runs in the cloud above him (the cloud duplicates itself with a backup label)
at the end there is a game-like score: 0/4 stars vs. 4/4 stars
