Main ideas
The animation follows the inverted pyramid: who RobosizeME is, which problems it solves and
how the solution works, down to the life of one reservation.
Hotel staff still check every reservation from online travel agencies (OTA) and enter missing information by hand – early check-in, a room with a view, an anniversary, allergies, a valid credit card or a paid deposit.
Once, the client and RobosizeME define the business rules: rate codes are sorted into groups with common actions (a mapping file).
Every day the automation retrieves new OTA reservations, assigns them to the groups and performs the data transformations from OTA to the hotel system. Keywords from guest notes become alerts and preferences.
Data are accurate and system-compliant and alerts pop up when planned, e.g. when rooms are being assigned.
A daily report summarizes all actions, the Automation Center shows saved time and ROI.
Human time is limited and not scalable, the automation has predictable costs and works 24/7.
Script
Title – hotel operations with AI automation, the list of RobosizeME automations, today: reservations
Goal – giving hotels back their most valuable asset: time
Problem – a guest books a room online, not all information reaches the hotel system, the staff has to check it by hand
Problem examples – guest requests, anniversaries, allergies, credit cards and deposits
Problem details – systems are not fully compatible, data structures are not easily transferable
Logic – the data flow OTA → RobosizeME → PMS and the mapping of rate codes to actions
New reservations – daily automatic processing of reservations by rate code groups
Understanding – information goes to the right place and actions are planned
Report – the daily output report and the Automation Center
Summary – on average 156 staff hours per month saved, about one full-time employee and 3,000 EUR labour costs
Outro – Automate. Accelerate. Elevate.
Making of
The animation is black on white with the company’s aquamarine and gold-highlighted items. Every
scene was animated in its own Blender file and combined with the voice-over and music into the
final animation. Part of the work was also a new animated logo replacing the outdated one. The
video is rendered in several resolutions with subtitles.
